Children's Day, Congress of Vienna edition. Napoleon's son — the King of Rome, around three — painted in the Tuileries, months before the empire fell and he was taken to Vienna. While adults redrew the map, he drilled a toy regiment for Prince de Ligne, who joked the Congress "dances but does not progress." Vienna 1814: Waltz of Nations is my in-development board game about that Congress, and the most human thing in the room was a child who wanted to play outside.

Romance ❤️ in the entertainment phase now has a risky second option: a scene of jealousy.
You can interfere with another player’s romance, but only if you are already invested in that character — and you lose prestige for causing a public scandal.

The goal is asymmetrical interaction: dramatic, costly, and limited.

It became months of politics, receptions, rumours, salons — and, apparently, some very serious wardrobe planning.

The goal is controlled interaction — conflict without permanently destroying anyone’s resources.
Because at a polite evening, a whisper can still be a political weapon.

Small Congress scandal: at the opening ball of the Congress of Vienna, rumour had it that a quarter of the 10,000 silver teaspoons bearing the imperial crest quietly disappeared into the crowd.

I would treat this more as a perfect Congress anecdote than a precise inventory report — but honestly, that makes it even better.
Diplomacy, spectacle, gossip… and apparently a few unofficial souvenirs.
