La conexión de Tom Morello con Chile es especial. Lo sabemos desde hace tiempo. Su admiración por Víctor Jara, sumado a sus constantes halagos al público nacional nos hacen saber que nos hemos ganado un rincón especial en su rockero corazón.

Su presentación en el Alternative Stage fue el cierre de la primera jornada. Después de quedar con las pulsaciones a tope con Deftones, el ex Rage Against the Machine y Audioslave no se quedó atrás. No es solo rock. Es energía, es furia,  consciencia y rebeldía. Y, por supuesto, talento de sobra.

Bad Bunny opened his concert in Chile with a cover of Victor Jara's beautiful El Derecho de Vivir en Paz.

For those who don't know the story, Victor Jara was a Chilean folk singer and composer, and a communist activist, executed by the dictator Pinochet, on September 16, 1973, shortly after the U.S. sponsored coup that overthrew the democratically elected Salvador Allende. He was executed in the National Stadium, along with thousands of others. However, before they killed him, they beat him and tortured him, crushing his hands and busting his lips. Yet he continued to sing "Venceremos" (We Shall Win) through cracked lips.

Before he was shot to death, he scribbled the lyrics to "Estadio Chile", which were later smuggled out of the stadium:
