Test model for #VespidStingwings had to endure a lot today.
Finding where I can make blue work to give more variety and get that Staten Island Ferry look
🤔- shoulders and wings
Tried a more pale orange
❌- as the base color (left leg, left wrist)
❌- as base color with deep orange dry brush
🤔- as dry brush over deeper orange (face)
🤔- warmer off-white for wings
Open to feedback and suggestions.
Drone is feeling pretty done. I don't think I'll fuss over highlights. Tried some rust and weathering on the metal beams. Not sure it works but I'm learning. Curious about doing some chipped paint but I'm not sure how to go about it.

The Shadestrain's chest piece was missing from the sprue so I got to modify the corresponding Warrior chest to accommodate the chest armor. Super-minor kitbash but was fun to execute.
