Last week I finally had time to finish building my vertical planter and put some plants in it. It fits surprisingly much soil and the soil can take up sooo much water! Already thinking about adding the automated solar powered irrigation system I used for my other plants while I was on vacation.
In any case, I'll write up the whole process of planning, building and add a bill of materials, in case someone wants to build it, too.
Continued the assembly of the vertical planter. Attached PE plastic film, that is normally used as UV protection of greenhouses, as an inner liner. Then attached the planter to the handrail. Afterwards added a metal screen and some textile liner at the bottom cup. Added a few planter cups and some soil (mixed with red thingies for improved water retention.
Unfortunately, I have to wait to finish and add plants to it because I'll be off for weeks 😅
