#WritersCoffeeClub 10/2: How often do your write a week?

Most weeks, every day. That generally includes a post for "World of Wonders"--my substack on knowledge and reality--and often a bit of work on play or screenplay (a one-act for local theatre right now) as well as my WIP #versenovel it comes out to ">7 a week." Then again, for the past week it's been, like, two, due to both some family stuff going on and my inner gyro-compass hunting a bit, which I've learned to let happen as it happens.

#WritersCoffeeClub 10.1 — Intro: Shameless self-promotion. What's your WIP?

1) Pitching a sword-and-cellphone "Romeo and Juliet" formal #versenovel set in a world where handedness divides people, and Montarights and Capulefts are sworn enemies. Romeo's cousin Ben--a mall cop--is MC, though he shares well. It would be banned in Florida.

2) Just starting on a formal #versenovel that's a kind of HP Lovecraft/Terry Pratchett mashup about my home town

Last year I posted general stats for Middle Grade Verse Novels. This year, I updated those stats, and added an #infographic dedicated to just 2022 Verse Novels.

You'll also find a handy list of all the #MG Verse Novels slated to publish in 2023, and of course, the master list of 324 MG Verse Novels written published/publishing between 1990 and 2024.
