OMG I was just looking for reference images for some Vernacular Tropical Archtecture...What a surprise, it's often a European's interpretation of traditional designs or a fucking LLM generated image. That is so frustrating!
I did manage to find some reference images that seem to be what I want to use. I needed something that was as close to pre-modern as possible because the setting of Vintage Story without major technology aside from Windmills, Water Wheels, and Blacksmithing. They even included reasons for why the design is the way it is. In the end, I think I will try to emulate a Malay Kampong House
I want to maintain that vibe (despite the occasional ruin with complex machinery).
