Five years ago, my friends and I were constantly barraged with death threats because of our support for Wet'suwet'en. I was also told I was only supporting them because I was being paid to do so. No news company quashed any of this happening in their comments sections.

The Proud Boys were harassing my friends in the local Land Back camp, too.

My hypervigilance came in handy when I attended marches and round dances. So many people were threatening to run us over, and I was on constant lookout for violent drivers.
