The #CatholicChurch's opposition to secularism was again demonstrated on #ThisDayInHistory in 1906, when #PopePiusX issued encyclical #VehementerNos. It denounced France's abrogation of the 1801 Concordat and decried the #SeparationOfChurchAndState enshrined in a 1905 law there.
