@Yeekasoose @corenominal I can confirm as someone using a #Vega64 and unless you buy bleeding edge hardware at launch like @fuchsiii did with her #7900XTX nor need said encoding you should just be fine with most quality distro.

I run @ubuntu / #Ubuntu LTS 22.04 and the experience is jist as good as #Intel's #iGPU's like #UHD650 and #HD4000 but OFC way better performance.

Whilst I can confirm this on a #Vega64 #Desktop, this seems to basically contradict @fuchsiii 's experiences and what she showed me in person...

@bastetfurry @gpuopen seems like a different issue.

Apparently the GPU just.randomly resets itself and goes temporarily braindead until rebooted.

And I kinda have to agree with @fuchsiii that this should not be an issue espechally since neither #Vega64 nor #RX5700 had this problem at launch.
