@daedalean @jwcph the more I deal with anyone at work, the more I realise most allistic people need to literally see consequences right in front of their noses before ... idk, "allowing themselves...?" to see that you were right.
There is no win condition in my experience. I hope there is for other people, but for me, saying something meant getting blamed and saying nothing meant getting insulted.
It's not enough to communicate a problem brewing.
You need to do so politely (in a way that doesn't imply Any Blame for their fragile fucking egos),
at the right time (so they aren't distracted or irritable and will blame you for "not explaining it right"),
in a way that they understand (ideally through aphorisms and/or making pop culture references to things you had forced down your throat for decades),
*and* you need to be Someone They Respect.
So get fucked if you're disabled, BIPoC, queer, immigrant, ND, etc or even just ONE of these things.
Oh, and have the right accent and be conventionally attractive -- but not too much, you %$£^%.
