Took me hours to figure it out.

Opel Kadett C righthand C-pillar on which the apparent extractor vent is actually the fuel filler flap.

Heard of others with the exact same problem.

Thinking Vauxhall/Opel may have peaked in the late 70s with the Chevette/Kadett hatchback.
