Playing with line colors and digital shading. The shading is subtle, but to me it makes a huge difference.

That's a [Var'U'San]. This species has 2 elbows - or 2 wrists(?) Judging by the type of movement of the middle joint it's rather 2 wrists than 2 elbows.. but, yeah, I'm rambling.

Anyway, in this sketch I experimented on how I can get a believable pose with that 3-jount set-up, like in an everyday situation - like checking nails for presentability 👀 or something.

(RL stuff: lately, I'm struggling with some #pcos related issues - well - more than the usual, so, if you happen to have pcos too.. and struggle with the symptoms.. I feel you. I thought that is worth sharing, bc one thing about pcos is that nobody seems to talk about it. in case you wonder, pcos is a hormonal disorder in women.)

the left one is my first attempt of today, the right one my second. I think the first drawing of a day is always a little stiff, but the second one will be better.

okay, this was difficult. but I got it done and I'm kinda proud of that x)

[Var'U'San] are a very rare species. their home planet got destroyed by their enemies. the few who could get away sought refugee on other planets or space stations.
since the Var'U'San aren't seen so often, many people tend to treat them with caution.
