The body of the Var'U'San is typically slim, with long limbs & lean muscles. Their ribcage has a gap at the front held together by tendons.
I'm thinking about giving them the ability to expand their ribcage further by stretching the gap. For extra oxygen consumption.

That's a [Var'U'San]. This species has 2 elbows - or 2 wrists(?) Judging by the type of movement of the middle joint it's rather 2 wrists than 2 elbows.. but, yeah, I'm rambling.
Anyway, in this sketch I experimented on how I can get a believable pose with that 3-jount set-up, like in an everyday situation - like checking nails for presentability 👀 or something.
