MaaritBackpacking trip in 2008 (October)
Next up Chile 🇨🇱 From New Zealand we flew to Chile where we started our 2 month tour in southern parts of South America.
Luckily we had friends in Santiago de Chile who showed us around town and introduced us to Pisco Sour 😋
From Santiago we continued up north to Valparaiso and from there to Atacama desert on a 21 hour bus ride.
During our trip in Valparaiso we had some sort of food poisoning which was horrendous and caused a loss of appetite for the next 5 days.
Despite of this San Pedro de Atacama and the sights surrounding it were amazing! One of the places I wish I will have a chance to visit again in the future.

Reissu vuonna 2008 (lokakuu)
Seuraavaksi Chile 🇨🇱 Uudesta-Seelannista lensimme Chileen mistä aloitimme 2 kuukauden Etelä-Amerikan eteläosan kierroksen.
Meillä oli ystäviä Santiago de Chilessä, jotka esittelivät meille kaupunkia ja tutustuttivat Pisco Souriin 😋
Santiagosta matkamme jatkui pohjoiseen Valparaisoon ja sieltä 21 tuntia kestävälle bussimatkalle Atacama autiomaahan.
Valparaisossa olomme aikana saimme jonkinlaisen karmean ruokamyrkytyksen, joka vei ruokahalun seuraavaksi 5 päiväksi.
Siitä huolimatta San Pedro de Atacama ja sitä ympäröivä luonto/nähtävyydet olivat huikeita! Yksi niistä paikoista jonne toivon voivani vielä joskus palata.
