We need proper Universal Healthcare in Ireland now, or at least mandatory health insurance via tax for people earning above a certain amount. They increased it by over €10 last year too. 3.5% means it's going to be almost €140 a month now.

In Ireland, by law, health insurance companies must offer the same plans they offer to corporations to everyday people also.

So you can buy the “same plan” from Vhi that a VMWare employee has. The only difference? The VMWare employee has no waiting periods and their preexisting conditions are covered on theirs.

Same plan? 🤔

I’d like to see how this holds up against a legal challenge. It’s amazing to me that no journalist here has covered this.
