The trump-compliant #USPS has changed the rules for the #postmark date of mail. As of last Wednesday, December 24, the postmark date is the day they #process your mail piece, NOT the day you drop it off.

If you do #VBM, try to find a secure government #dropbox. If you can’t, put your #ballot in the mail far ahead of time — or, if you can, take it to the #postoffice and have the agent there #postmark it in front of you. #votersuppression #votebymail

Oregon has been at the forefront of Vote By Mail (#VBM) since 1981. It has been a great system with, as far as I can tell, very few issues. In some ways I do miss going to an actual voting booth, but I love the convenience and easy ability to research and ponder each and every #vote I cast. I truly feel for those standing in long lines waiting to vote, hoping to vote, worried about voter suppression, getting time off work, perhaps dealing with illness yet still #voting.
