Another use of #VR/#WebXR for prototyping a physical object: I turned a #VARTISTE figure sketch into a #WoodCarving!

I'm very much just an amateur at both figure drawing and wood carving, but it's fun to try out making an object in VR before committing the time and money to make it out of wood.

New version of #VARTISTE released! Thanks to the #DesktopVision team for maintaining their integration. A handy way to access your desktop from within #WebXR. Now with a smoother #OAuth flow.

VARTISTE is an open source virtual reality app for 2D drawing, image editing, 3D model texturing, and much more, right from the browser!

More doodling for the holidays. Tweaking the #VARTISTE canvas recording feature.

New #VARTISTE feature: Stroke-by-stroke recording. Click the "Record Canvas History" button on the Animation Shelf to turn on recording, draw a drawing, then click it again to download a video showing each change along the way!

Using #VARTISTE to block out ideas for a decorative holiday painting before I try it on a real canvas. Here's the first sketch.

Doodle practice. Sketched in #VirtualReality using #VARTISTE. #VRArt #Sketch

I've gotten feedback for years that #VARTISTE is too complicated and confusing. I took another stab at how to deal with this, and ended up with this prototype physics-heavy interface. Eventually, it wouldn't need any buttons or menus at all. Just random things lying about.

Latest project: Vampire Cornhole.

Turns out to be a lot of fun! I prototyped it in #WebXR using #VARTISTE, and then built it out of wood.
