With little progress to report on the $70-billion Wonder Valley artificial intelligence data centre project promised for northern Alberta, Kevin O’Leary has announced he’s developing a twin AI data centre project in Utah, also named Wonder Valley.

The projects require 15 GW of power (7.5 gigawatts each), to be deployed in phases. Both are close to methane gas infrastructure, and both involve land purchases of up to 13,000 acres.

No one is willing to answer my questions or provide details on either project.

For projects of this scale and impact on local communities and the environment, you’d think some transparency and accountability would be part of the plan.
