PS recently wrote about their fork of Flarum to support email addresses with IPv6 hosts, alongside testing integration with Postfix, Dovecot, and DeltaChat over Yggdrasil/Mycelium networks. This is genuinely interesting technical work β niche but valuable for those experimenting in alternative network ecosystems.
At the same time, some concerns arise:
- Registration system: They allow any βfakeβ email address to bypass verification. While this lowers barriers to participation, it also opens the door to spam, abuse, and impersonation.
