Back in the day, this was the river that seperated (Old) Riga from the rest of the country…now it just seperates the old town from the rest of the country's capitol.

And if going by some historic maps I've seen, it also used to be much bigger.

And here am I, dressed as a late 19th century woman! Gotta say, I looked rather good in that dress. My relatives, when I showed them this picture, said they would have not known it was me (Because this is the first picture evidence of me wearing a dress in almost a decade, is probably one reason).
The hat was cool, but it kept sliding slightly. I could seriously feel it slipping down. Good thing I don't have to stand for hours like in the old days!
