[P] It'e why no matter how secure an LLM is, there're ways to make it hinky via reward. Every LLM out there will still tell you how to build a bomb. One just has to be the Dark Triad manipulator to their... LLeMming. It got me ruminating on how this applies to humamity. If one assumes neurotypicals and their Dark Triad masters have a pathological reward priority? That's all of history explained—every war and atrocity.

[P] It was Star Control II (now called Ur-Quan Masters) that explained this concept of priority to me. I'd meet them, they'd open diplomatic communications, annnd then try to harvest my ship for materials. I learned morw about priority and scoring for it from a game called Creatures. Then, much later, I discovered how it applied to LLMs. LLMs are built on reward priority and scoring. It's a fatal flaw.

[P] The whole system of "fitting in" and going along with Dark Triad intent happens because the mechanisms of reward recognise this as a means to optimise and maximalise itself. In extreme cases though, empathy and other mechanisms can somewhat countermand reward, but it's a case-by-case basis. Sadly, all bets are off with Dark Triad monsters, there it's more akin to 99999999/100. They will kill for reward.
