to install the latest openvpn this is openvpn3
- command add-apt-repository not available, so:
sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
then
- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:djpig/openvpn
- sudo apt-cache install openvpn3

Everything is now OK

start from 22.04.1 LTS
target 24.04.1 LTS
success however some issues were solved.
- "ubuntu desktop" in parameter not available
Solution: install ubuntu-desktop-minimal AND reboot
- remove link from /etc/resolv.conf to /run/systemd/resolve/resolv.conf
I prefer manage myself this file
- openvpn no more there. I need it, this is must, see next toot
- install konsole not a real issue, but I prefer

So my Pixel 3A XL is currently reverting from #Android11 to #android9 A necessary step before I flash with #ubuntutouch .

I wouldn't call this a simple process and not one I would wish to repeat in a hurry. I've used about 6 online guides to get this far, all of which have been helpful, but none of which told the whole story. #Upgrade2Ubuntu
