I gave my Mum a plastic scrubbing brush - the Christmas I'll never forget.

Then for her birthday, Dad chipped (ha ha) in and we got her a chip maker. The manual kind where you push the spud through a metal grid.

She never said a thing about the scrubbing brush but Dad got a short, sharp comment about the chip maker.
