Day 25 #UnreadBooksOfAdvent

It's not advent any more. Therefore by a process of pure logic, all my books are now read.

A good haul of RPG material this morning. Hopefully not books for #UnreadBooksOfAdvent next year though 🤣

Need to look at the Blood Drive book at little more though as the binding looks suspect (it's stitched but there's no glue down the spine to hold it to the cover).

Day 24 #UnreadBooksOfAdvent and it's the final door!

I was quite taken with #pathfinder2e and bought and read several books. I then stalled, uninspired by stodgy World/Gods books and the Age of Ashes adventure path.

Running the Beginner Box this year reignited my excitement for the game. So I bought these three. In pocket edition. With tiny writing. In the year I got my first prescription glasses.

Needless to say...never read them

Day 24 of #UnreadBooksOfAdvent is the #Hellfrost atlas. This is a huge, full colour, book taking the information from the individual region guides and adding in a bit more alongside brand new maps. It's absolutely lovely but I've never read it. In the main this is because I haven't played in the Hellfrost world for a while so haven't needed to (the same applies to other Hellfrost books I have unfortunately). I'm eyeing running it in the future though so... #TripleAceGames #TTRPG #RPG

I've reached the stage where I don't actually WANT any more RPGs now.

Insufficient play time plus the shame of unread books (which I've obviously exacerbated with #UnreadBooksOfAdvent) means my books don't give me the joy they should. Almost the opposite.

I'm sure it'll pass.

Day 23 #UnreadBooksOfAdvent

Today, for the first time, it's the World's Greatest RPG ™️. Or certainly a perfectly adequate one. Hoard of the Dragon Queen is the only unread 5e book in my collection, but that's largely down to the fact I haven't bought any for years and I was intrigued by the story as it evolved on the Forging Farrir podcast with @megatron_46 and @Ohdearkatt . A fairly recent £13 eBay bargain.

Never read it.

Day 23 of #UnreadBooksOfAdvent is Stars Without Number. A couple of years ago I was looking for a sci-fi rule set that I could really get. This was one of the ones I picked up but it's a really hefty book and I just haven't found the time to read it. I really should though as apparently it's pretty good. Maybe next year... #StarsWithoutNumber #scifi #TTRPG #RPG

Day 22 #UnreadBooksOfAdvent and we take a left turn into the Old World.

I loved the idea of WFRP3, being as it is an RPG that also uses cards. And tokens. And more cards. And funny dice. And cards. Next to Torg, it's the closest RPG I have to a full set.

I picked up the scenario Edge of Night on eBay this year, so obviously I haven't read it yet. I also have the WFRP3 version of Enemy Within, which, like the original, is supposed to be excellent. Of course, I wouldn't know.

Never read it.

Day 22 of #UnreadBooksOfAdvent. Another Kickstarter campaign: Odyssey of the Dragon lords this time. I have the main scenario, the player's guide and the map but haven't read a single word. I picked it up because it's Greek-inspired and, for a while (still am to be fair), I was really keen on running something "swords and sandals". Something else always gets ahead of it though. Maybe in 2024... #OdysseyOfTheDragonlords #DnD5e #DnD #TTRPG #RPG

Day 21 #UnreadBooksOfAdvent and it's nearly Xmas!

Predation is a game I picked up at the Owlbear and Wizard's Staff #OBaWS convention swap shop. I brought a LOT of stuff to give away and only took a few items in return.

I played Cypher system once and it was ok. Didn't excite me. But time travelling dinosaur wranglers? Now THAT'S exciting! But obviously not exciting enough, because...

Never read it.
