After my other recent rewatches, I got a hankering to rewatch #UnlockMyBoss. Watched it originally on Netflix and now watching on Viki for the different translation.
I am also starting #TastefullyYours so I can pretend to be making a dent in my to watch list. π€
Going through Viki's offerings to see if there is anything my partner would like to watch. I see they have #UnlockMyBoss which we watched on Netflix, and we really enjoyed it. After my experiences with #Healer and the differences in translation from Kocowa and Viki, I really want a rewatch of #UnlockMyBoss onViki now. π€
Thanks to the timing of when I watched #UnlockMyBoss and my requirement for a good, heavy playlist to drown out robots as I returned to office, I now start every workday with this banger of a song by Mckdaddy and it has been one of my best decisions of the year so far. #kdrama
I was surprised by how much I ended up liking that one.

Unlock My Boss
(2022 - Netflix, 12 1:00 eps)
A surprising delight! The title & synopsis do not do it justice. The CEO of a tech company is missing, but his soul finds its way into his phone, which an out-of-work actor finds. The CEO/phone convinces him to be the acting CEO & to help him find out what happened.
The CEO has a little girl & the maid, the butler, the secretary, the new CEO, & the bodyguard develop such amazing relationships with the child & each other. Just a bit of romance, sweet found-family relationships, & bromance raise this drama from a regular mystery thriller to an experience looking at what responsibility means & what we would do for family, society, & our morals. It also brings up questions about AI & its uses.
The leads were great, but a shout-out to Kim Sung Oh. This is the first darker role I've seen him in & he was so perfect.
