Die Evangelische Hochschule Ludwigsburg ist international stark vernetzt und arbeitet mit 58 Hochschulen weltweit zusammen. Die „International Assembly 2026“ ist ein wichtiges Element für Austausch in Lehre, Forschung und Praxis.
Unter dem Titel „Sozialarbeit, Menschenrechte und die Rechte der Natur“ besuchen Professor*innen von Universitäten aus den Philippinen, Kanada, Peru, Uganda und Indien nach Ludwigsburg, unterstützt von DAAD, Erasmus+ und ISAP.
Im Fokus steht die Verbindung von sozialer und ökologischer Gerechtigkeit: Das Wohlergehen des Menschen ist eng mit dem der Natur verknüpft, mit besonderem Blick auf indigene Gemeinschaften und Umweltaktivist*innen.
„Die Soziale Arbeit der Zukunft ist sich der umweltbedingten Auswirkungen auf vulnerable Menschen bewusst und ergreift für diese Menschen Partei!“, sagte Rektorin Prof. Dr. Andrea Dietzsch in ihrer Begrüßung. „Soziale Arbeit der Zukunft denkt soziale Gerechtigkeit auch als ökologische Gerechtigkeit.“
Beim Empfang im Rathaus Ludwigsburg sagte Dr. Matthias Knecht, „Ich kann Sie nur ermutigen, Ihren Studierenden den internationalen Austausch ans Herz zu legen, weil die verschiedenen Ansätze und Sichtweisen nur gewinnbringend sein können“

The Protestant University of Applied Sciences Ludwigsburg boasts a robust international network, collaborating with 58 universities worldwide. The „International Assembly 2026“ is a key platform for the exchange of ideas in teaching, research and practice.
Under the title „Social Work, Human Rights and the Rights of Nature“, professors from universities in the Philippines, Canada, Peru, Uganda and India are visiting Ludwigsburg with the support of the DAAD, Erasmus+ and ISAP.
The focus lies on the connection between social and environmental justice, with a particular focus on indigenous communities and environmental activists.
„The social work of the future is aware of the environmentally induced impacts on vulnerable people and takes a stand on their behalf!”. said Principal Prof. Dr. Andrea Dietzsch in her welcome speech. “The social work of the future conceives of social justice just as much as ecological justice.”
At the reception in Ludwigsburg Town Hall hosted by Dr. Matthias Knecht, he emphasised: „I can only encourage you to urge your students to participate in international exchange programs, because the different approaches and perspectives can only be beneficial.”
