As a person who worked in kitchens for decades, the fascination w 'Celebrity Chefs' has always pissed me all the way off
The people who do the actual work are all in the background, completely unheralded (often undocumented) & underpaid
It's like shining the spotlight on Willy Wonka and completely ignoring the fact that it's the Oompa Loompas who do the work

People who work hard so we can all eat deserve respect, dignity, decent working conditions, and fair & liveable wages
They don't deserve contempt, as though our work has so little worth that it's an appropriate punishment for corrupt pols who protect pedophiles

I give thanks at every meal for the people who work so we can eat. Cropworkers, processors, grocery workers ALL deserve
