The "anime girl in a jar who flirts with you" has always been creepy.

I first discovered it in a standards meeting as an example of "nudging" during a discussion on IEEE P7008 (Ethical Nudging) in 2018 when they showed the video linked below.

Apparently this tech has just made it to the English-speaking world. No less icky, though. Favorite description I've seen so far: "a waifu in a prison".
