Sometimes people tell us to "get a job" as if it's that simple.

There are multitudinous good reasons why we:
1. Consider our work for Vulpine Labs and the local community more important than any run of the mill "job".
2. Cannot seriously be expected to attain traditional employment.
3. Shun traditional models of pay in favour of Mutual Aid.

And we won't let capitalism grind us down.

Today, Atha:
Reset the mouse traps in the bus
Cleared snow off the bus and car (altitude does not care for your "seasons", mere mortals)
Got a new phone from a good friend
Set up an LELink LeafSpy OBD2 device to help diagnose and fix the car
Did some reading at the library to get back in the mood for learning Python

And Inara:
Did trans HRT injections
Did some cleaning and tidying
Took the car to do a slow charge session
Did some phone setup
Will likely cook food for us and a homeless friend, and do some VR.

If you see someone stealing, no you didn't.

Until we have true solidarity between what Marx deemed the "lumpenproletariat", ie folks with various reasons for being homeless and/or jobless*, and those of us with the privilege of having extra shit like cars, we will continue to have our shit taken just like the rich. I don't want to hear complaints about your car getting broken into until we are ALL ready to stand with those "below" us against our collective oppressors.That person is starving, you can go without a back window.

* One of the things I disagree with Marx on. He viewed them as a detriment to the revolution, too dependent on the systems. Anyone who's ever been or known someone on food stamps or unemployment knows just how stupid that conclusion is. Those things are intentionally demeaning, leading to deep seeded resentments.

The horrors persist, but so do we.

Someone who lives in a makeshift forest shelter wants to join us in the bus soon.

The Vulpibus now has an air conditioning unit fitted. We have installed a longer 4G antenna.
We almost had somewhere to go and park a while, but the landowner backed out. Again. And the convoy we are trying to form is moving along.

So the bus is still in need of a diesel refueling, and the current prices make that a matter of about $400. Links below.

We would really love to convert this bus to an EV but that is going to need a much more generous level of help than most folks here can provide.

There are also many debts to deal with, including car loan and insurance, and bureaucratic needs that have fees to pay. Capitalism is ruthless the most when it is legally enforced and you still don't have the means.

If you want to help out with any specific thing, please let us know. Otherwise donations are put to the most pressing need.
