Allows adding extensions from chrome web store on ungoogled-chromium. Also adds semi-automatic extension updating. - NeverDecaf/chromium-web-store
Ich sehe jetzt schon Leute mit Dingen wie fünf Kilo Kaffee zu Hause, die sie gar nicht haben wollten.

Google is rolling out new Gemini-powered features in Chrome for desktop, led by an “auto browse” capability designed to let the browser act more like a digital assistant that can carry out tasks on websites from a sidebar interface. In Google’s examples, the agent can navigate pages, click buttons, fill forms, and help assemble carts for purchases, aiming to reduce the time users spend hopping between tabs and steps for common online chores. Early hands-on testing suggests the idea is promising but still uneven in practice: Wired reports the tool can complete some multistep tasks more smoothly than comparable “agent” features, yet it can get stuck or feel awkward on more complex, real-world flows—highlighting that hands-off browsing is still a work in progress. For readers, the bright spot is the direction of travel: more routine web tasks may become simpler over time, while the current rollout keeps the feature gated to certain paid tiers as Google iterates.
Mulla bugaa tää Ungoogled Chromium randomisti. Sekoilu alkoi muutama päivä sitten. Tekstejä ja palikoita välkkyy, kun kirjoitan jotain. Häiritsee todella paljon.
Mun pitää ehkä palata takaisin Braven pariin. :|
I had one of the first #Reddit accounts (#33), up until last autumn, just before it turned 20, my account got shadow banned. I never got even the slightest answer or support from Reddit.
2 days ago I followed a link to Reddit on my #OpenBSD machine with ungoogled-chromium. Reddit showed me a "network security" message. I then got the message that I've been perma-banned for "breaking the rules".
My violation was repeatedly accessing Reddit with #ungoogledchromium from OpenBSD.
@NebulaTide @thedaemon @claudiom For sure!
Every once in a while, if a project/task seems to necessitate it, I'll go as far as running #Firefox or #UngoogledChromium as another unprivileged sandbox user in a #Xephyr display using my own [rudimentary] #Xsunaba utility. I _still_ wouldn't trust it any further than I can throw it, and it's only marginally safer and less trouble than spinning up a VM.
Every added layer of the onion is another that someone else has to bite through. More tears?
@claudiom @NebulaTide I always preferred #NetscapeNavigator over #InternetExplorer. I switched to #Firefox under #MacOSX when it first came out. I've used #Chrome and #Chromium off and on under #macOS (nee OS X, nee Mac OS X) and #OpenBSD.
At this point, while I still primarily use Firefox via #ffssb, I do occasionally use #UngoogledChromium and find it to be more performant. For example, #GoogleMeet works fine in Firefox, but #Zoom struggles when sharing video, so I use ungoogled for that.
