A recent study by the Urban Land Institute adds another layer to this narrative, revealing that 70% of real estate developers believe pedestrian malls will be more important in the future than they are today.

Uranium miners surge on $500m US enrichment push

Shares in uranium miners jumped globally after the US said it’s soliciting bids to boost domestic production of nuclear fuel in an effort to bolster national energy security. The Energy Department is requesting proposals from US companies to produce a type of fuel known as high-assay low-enriched uranium, or HALEU, it said Tuesday. It plans to invest as much as $500-million in the projects and other ventures to convert HALEU into chemical precursors for nuclear fuels.

#COP28BlahBlahBlah: From Drawdown- carbon capture technologies, CCS, DAC, needs to scale up 1million X from where they are today. It’s an excuse to not implement #UnGlamarousSolutions, walkable cities, bike networks, shared mobility etc. and continue using fossil fuels. Carbon capture, a major talking point of Kerry, Saudi Arabia, CARB 2022, IRA, will not play a role in getting us to the Paris goal, and may only come into play after 2050 for the residual emissions that can't be eliminated.
