I have to respect that Dennis, David and Magnus of Refused released probably their most inaccessible, most ultra-specific niche-within-a-niche music directly after the final tour with Refused. On their Bandcamp page David Sandström is quoted saying that he hopes that "this slab of stupid, violent death rock" will ruin someone's day. Honestly, I'm sure that more than one person clicked play or put this record in their turntable and immediately hated it. Not me though. I love it in all its violence and its stupidity, and even more so now that I've seen them play at Roadburn last week.
Three members of refused, teamed up with saxophone powerhouse Mats Gustafsson. Can't go wrong but it's sure to get all kinds of weird. My favourite track on this record is "Repeater II", followed by "Socialism or Barbarism".
