Is the "peek" #game mechanic - open door slowly - actually useful, in #Stalker2?

after 13 hours of exploring the "Lesser Zone", this is the second time i'm using it - didn't matter, in the end.

My MO is Stalker difficulty sightseeing mode - i've paid 100 🇪🇺 bucks for the #UltimateEdition, now i wanna see everything! 😅 ...take it slow, throw a bunch of quick-saves, enjoy the story, explore everything, do every side-quest.
