Am 24.02.2022 nähert sich das Flaggschiff der sog. #SMO, der russische Lenkwaffenkreuzer #moskwa, der #Schlangeninsel und fordert die dort stationierten ukrainischen Soldaten über Funk auf, sich zu ergeben. #RomanHrybow antwortet mit den Worten "Русскій воєнний корабль, іді …!" (in etwa #russianWarshipGoFuckYourself ...! ). Am 14. April - 2 Tage nachdem die ukrainische Post #Ukrposhta eine Sondermarke zur o.g. Begebenheit herausgegeben hatte - wird die moskwa in den Rang eines stationären Unterseebootes befördert.

A while back, I signed up for the Ukrposhta (Ukraine post office) mailing list for commemorative stamps and other philatelic stuff. Essentially, you pay a small fee to be on the list and receive notification of stuff as it becomes available.

I've only bought a couple of items but the second (received today) is a set of all of the stamps issued in 2022 (the all-out war started in February of that year). It includes the famous "Russian warship, go fuck yourself" stamps and the subsequent issue when the Moskva Russian flagship was sunk.

Armour Saved: #Russians Attack #Ukrposhta Vehicle with Drone

The terrorist attack occurred when the employees were returning from #Pokrovsk. Fortunately, no one was killed.

The State Emergency Service received a demining vehicle purchased with proceeds from the sale of stamps

In September 2022, #Ukrposhta issued "#Dog_Patron" stamps. They were bought by more than 200 thousand #Ukrainians, donating about UAH 18 million.

The money was used to purchase a #Ukrainian-made mine clearing machine. It clears up to 1,200 m² per hour and is controlled remotely from a distance of 500 meters from an armoured cabin.
