Impossibile non essere d’accordo. 6-3, 6-0 in poco più di un’ora: Jannik Sinner batte nettamente Ugo Humbert e vola al terzo turno del Masters 1000 di Montecarlo, dove oggi erano tre gli italiani impegnati. Una partita quasi perfetta del numero due al mondo e non era scontato: il debutto sulla terra è sempre particolare per le condizioni di gioco, soprattutto se di fronte c’è un tennista esperto come Humbert, che al top può creare fastidi a chiunque.
“Era il primo match sulla terra, devo cambiare lo stile di gioco, adeguarmi ad alcune circostanze: le prime due partite, il primo torneo non sono mai facili, non c’è tanto tempo per adattarsi ma sono felice di poter giocare qui un altro match. Le sensazioni sono buone ma non ci sono tante aspettative“, ha spiegato Sinner nella classica intervista al vincitore nell’immediato post gara. Ma i migliori allenamenti sono le partite anche se poi contano anche i momenti off, che devi sfruttare per completare il tuo gioco”.
