Heute hat's mir die Catchall-E-Mail-Adressen bei #Uberspace zerhauen. (Zum Glück hat mir die Telekom ne SMS geschickt, dass sie meine Rechnung per Mail nicht zustellen konnten. 🙂)

`554 5.7.1 <[email protected]>: Relay access denied` kam zurück, wenn man eine Mail an eine Adresse schickte, auf die meine Catchall-Regel matcht.

Besonderheit bei mir: ich benutze '-' für Catchall (also z.b. `prefix-*@example.org`, was seit Uberspace 7 nicht mehr per qmail unterstützt wird. Jetzt soll man das wie bei Google mit '+' machen. Was mir natürlich nichts nutzt, wenn ich seit 20 Jahren E-Mail-Adressen nach dem Schema `prefix-*@example.org` in der Welt verteilt habe.

Just finished migrating my blog from #Ghost to #Hugo (using the Blowfish theme). It is static content anyway. Creating a blog post now means committing Markdown and pushing it to my local #Forgejo instance, which builds and deploys it in a #Nix environment, runs some tests, and rsyncs it to my #Uberspace account.

Found out by accident that #Uberspace supports passkeys in their web interface. 😍 But I still have to enter my password. Wasn’t the whole point of passkeys to enable passwordless authentication?

Nun ist es aber unvermeidlich: Wir werden künftig mit Einnahmen von durchschnittlich 6 Euro pro Asteroid kalkulieren, dazu unsere Preisempfehlungen entsprechend anpassen, sowie den Mindestpreis anheben müssen. Dazu ein ehrlicher Blick auf die Zahlen.

Anybody else having issues with their @nextcloud after updating to 33.0.0?

I get the error message

Error: Undefined constant "CURL_HTTP_VERSION_2TLS"

and the system stays in maintenance mode. 😢

@hallo , do you happen to already know about this issue? 🌻 (I used your UberLab article to set up my Nextcloud instance).

EDIT:

Solution by Uberspace Support: update PHP.

(PHP 8.5.3 works in my case. In contrast to what Nextcloud documented, PHP 8.3.8 is too old!)

ich habe jetzt 7 jahren bludit zum bloggen benutzt. vor 2 wochen kam dann nach 1,5 jahren mal wieder ein upgrade. version 3.16.2 auf 3.17.x
seitdem bekomme ich bei jedem post eine fehlermeldung. post erscheint danach trotzdem, aber es nervt sehr.
hab zu testzwecken 3.17.2 frisch installiert, da passiert das nicht, sobald ich das backup einspiele geht es wieder von vorne los. irgendwelche tips? #fedihelp #bludit #uberspace

Yesterday was #DigitalIndependenceDay! #Email is vital and predates the web. Though fully federated, it’s now dominated by large providers. Luckily, alternatives like #Posteo or #ProtonMail exist. The hoster #Uberspace also offers email if you like it more hands-on. For 10+ years, I run #Postfix + #Dovecot in my homelab: Relay outbound via my domain provider’s #SMTP and use #Fetchmail to pull inbound mail to my #IMAP server.
