I’m beginning to feel about this nation’s actions the way I felt about the Catholic Church when I went on strike 12 years ago. There’s a point where personal conscience & convictions stand at odds with the institution and shame is the default position.
Our government has failed to devise & fund a workable immigration policy, but those who will pay the price for that failure in 47’s administration are the most vulnerable, all of whom struggled to get here and who bring with them gifts of their humanity & eagerness to add to ours.
There are both room & resources for these worthy people.
