💧 Water is life. 💧

In northern #Gaza, UNRWA has repaired and reopened a third well, helping around 50,000 people access water for drinking, cooking and other usages in their daily lives.

UNRWA teams continue to work on restoring essential services for the benefit of the community. Access to clean drinking water is a primary goal of our courageous colleagues on the ground.

Across Gaza, UNRWA provides water to an average of 850,000 people every day.

In #Gaza, hundreds of boys and girls in UNRWA learning spaces recently participated in sports events that helped them regain a sense of normalcy.

This was the first initiative of its kind in over two years.

Where children play, hope grows.

In Yarmouk, #Syria, UNRWA continues to support #Palestine Refugees through shelter repair, restoration of schools, healthcare, education, protection and water and sanitation services.

After years of conflict in Syria, families in Yarmouk Camp are rebuilding their lives, homes and communities - UNRWA is helping them to do so with dignity.

Today, more than 60,000 people live there, the majority of them Palestine Refugees.

UNRWA health teams continue delivering standard medical care, like consultations, vaccinations or ante/post-natal services, even during the most acute emergencies.

In #Gaza, our health teams have provided over 12.3 million health consultations since the start of the war, and we continue to reach 1.7 million displaced people - 80% of the population.

UNRWA continues to adapt our healthcare services to meet the needs on the ground, treating people in our health centres, medical points, and with mobile health teams – reaching #Palestine Refugees wherever they are.

#Palestine Refugee students from UNRWA schools across #Jordan came together for friendly football matches organised under a partnership between UNRWA and @‌Fun_Realmadrid.

Both boys and girls participated in an initiative that promoted inclusion, teamwork and psychosocial wellbeing through the power of sport. 🤝

Safe sanitation is essential for protecting public health.

UNRWA continues to provide life-saving sanitation services across #Gaza: from running community-based solid waste management schemes to distributing cleaning supplies, disinfecting water tanks and pest control.

Across #Syria, UNRWA’s six vocational training centres continue equipping #Palestine Refugee youth with practical skills that enable them to be competitive in the job market.

Over the past five years, more than 3,400 students completed programmes in 45 specialisations.

More than 90% secured employment after graduation.

In #Gaza, garbage piles up and sewage overflows.

UNRWA health, sanitation, and shelter teams work daily to contain the spread of diseases that can be caused by rats and parasites such as lice, fleas, mites and bed bugs. But shortages of fuel, tents, and medicine are limiting their response.

#UNRWAworks — and can do so much more to help people if aid and supplies are allowed in at scale.
