Do you know why we have surveillance for inanimate things that we need to protect? Because, surprise surprise, inanimate objects can't fend for themselves and we need some form notification so we can act "on their behalf".

Now, children, believe it or not, are NOT inanimate, let alone objects. They're living human beings like everyone else. Yes, they need education to be able to handle themselves proper but that can't come at the cost of curiosity (let's be honest, even if you tell your kid "don't touch the candle flame, they'll still do it and burn their fingers to acquire and confirm the hypothesis that yes, flame is indeed too hot to handle).

Now, all these "Protect the kids" freaks seem to kind of forget that part about kids being human beings. This leads me to two possible conclusions
A) They're pretty shit parents (helicopter parenting is a really bad practice and often results in raising an anxious wreck of a person).

Or, brace yourselves
B) They have a "customer". You know, the kind of customer who indeed treats kids as objects. I'm sure I don't need to continue.

So, dear politicians, which one are you? Shit parents? Or the latter?
