"May 23rd is the anniversary of the largest mass arrest in Rochester, NY history, during a successful general strike to support city workers in 1946. Police arrested over two hundred strikers that day, but also caught up in the sweep was a school teacher on her way to work, a passing plumber, and a picketer’s dog (the dog, my favorite part of this pic)."
