I remember a similar issue with one of my old #HTC phones; probably the #TyTN2.
During boot it would play a *loud* startup noise, even if you had your volume all the way down before rebooting. The only way to mute it, was to stick a plug in the headphone jack...

The ironic part? It would show the following at the same time as a splash screen:

"HTC, quietly brilliant"

@keithzg I've seen the F(x)tec slider before, and it reminded me a lot of one of my favourite previous phones, the #HTC #TyTN2. But, yeah, that steep price definitely is a no-go for me.... :(

I still kinda miss the fold-out physical keyboards of my older #WindowsMobile devices such as the #HTC #TyTN2 and the #XperiaX1i (which actually was a rebranded HTC #Kovsky).

I guess adding one will make it harder to also keep it waterproof... And admittedly, the ribbon cable for the keyboard or screen, was one of the first things to fail.

Unfortunately I've yet to find a good clip-on physical #keyboard for my #Xiaomi #MiA1 / #Mi5X

The F(x)tec Pro1 #dualSim #Android slider phone looks very neat. It reminds me of the #HTCTyTN2 which I loved.
It has a slide-out physical keyboard, and the screen can be tilted at an angle. It will come with an #Snapdragon835, and they are hoping for #AndroidOne certification.

Unfortunately it looks like it will be beyond my budget, with pre-order at 649 USD.
