Traffic delays are expected this weekend along parts of Interstate 10 and Loop 610 as TxDOT repairs the Houston Avenue bridge, which has been struck by truck drivers multiple times during the last week.

Houston Avenue bridge repairs this weekend to cause eastbound closure of I-10 near downtown

The bridge was struck by truck drivers three times within the last week. It also will be closed from Friday night until Monday morning.

The Loop 610 ramp connecting northbound I-69 in Houston will be closed for about three months starting Friday evening as a major transportation project is inching closer to completion.

Loop 610 ramp to northbound I-69 in Houston set to be closed for three months

A 2022 Texas A&M report identified Houston-Galveston area roads containing 32 of the 100 most congested highways in Texas. I-610 congestion alone left taxpayers bearing an economic impact of about $120 million in 2022.
