A Twizel house trapped in time is set to provide a permanent snapshot of the town’s hydro glory days.
Twizel was base for construction of hydro generation in the McKenzie in the 60's and 70's. Dams, canals and electrical trans yards. It remains as a popular holiday destination and continues to grow. It was destined to be closed down when construction of the hydro scheme finished, but many wanted to stay so they did.

today's lazy dilemma: wanting to get more proficient at #astrophotography, but realizing that a) i don't like being outside in the cold during the winter; and 2) i don't like staying up late any time of year.
BUT (assuming all goes well) i'm going to be in #twizel for the new moon in january, so i really *should* practice more.
