"Twitter’s API service, after its changes, lets users post 1,500 tweets per month for free. Beyond that, prices can increase steeply — the hobbyist-oriented Basic tier lets users post 3,000 tweets for $100 a month, and a “low-cost” enterprise plan could reportedly soar as high as $42,000. And for many emergency accounts, the free tier won’t be enough."

Disaster alert accounts are preparing for a world after Twitter

Weather forecasters and emergency responders use Twitter to share updates about storms, fires, and other disasters. That’s harder to do with new policies under Elon Musk.

Being lumped together with paid #TwitterBlue subs is *not* going to sit well with legacy verified subscribers.

Twitter yanks the New York Times’ checkmark in verification overhaul

Twitter’s wind down of its legacy verified program has been chaotically executed, and subject to the whims of its new CEO. Accounts still have their checkmarks, which no longer specify whether they’re legacy or Twitter Blue.

The Verge

1. Change user name under account information.
2. After confirming and saving, change user name back immediately if desired.
3. Check mark gone.

Still suspending most activity on there but now that E Mu is commingling legacy and paid check marks, eff that.

"An internal investigation is underway at Twitter, but executives were apparently only made aware of the leak recently. It's believed that whoever leaked the code left Twitter last year, meaning it's possible the individual is someone #ElonMusk fired after taking control of the company in October."
