JyrdenSo newsworthy change to my #stream tonight: I'm experimenting with having ads during the stream.
My plan is to try and use the ad break as time to stretch my legs a little and then continue gaming #wellbeing so it's shouldn't feel like you're missing anything as a viewer. As a side benefit, this change means you shouldn't get pre-roll ads (an advert that plays when you first play the channel anymore).
#Subscriber and #TwitchTurbo viewers shouldn't see adverts at all. I'm saying "shouldn't" a lot here because it's dependent on Twitch not flaking and thinking you're using ad blocking.

I recently canceled my #TwitchTurbo because I wanted to subscribe to #DropoutTv and couldn’t justify paying for both, but DAMN Twitch ads are annoying as hell

So I canceled my long-standing Twitch Turbo subscription, Twitch is losing $8/month, $96/year, and streamers won't get benefits from my watching as I won't see twitch's ads. I am also strongly considering shifting my gaming streaming focus over to #youtube

@revealingtoomuch You need to be a *pretty* big streamer to *really* make money with ads, though. So unless viewers mostly hang out in big channels, ads are indeed not worth counting on financially, I would say.
Best (not cheapest) way to avoid ads and still support streamers: Twitch Turbo!
