Missing Sister by Joshlyn Jackson
How far would you go to discover why your twin sister died from an overdose? Was it an accident or was it intentional?
Penny is now a police officer. Her twin Nix died while they were in college. She knows the truth about what caused her twin sister Nix to turn to drugs.
Now at the scene of the murder of a second man that Penny knows helped cause Nix’s spiral into drug use, Penny questions if there is a vigilante.
When Penny catches the killer at the crime scene the woman tells Penny that it is a sister thing and Penny lets her go.
Another officer on the scene says that he heard Penny talking to someone that night, Penny becomes a suspect.
Penny suspects that a third man will die. Can she trust her gut that she did the right thing or did she release a killer for no good reason?
This story has an interesting premise. We are introduced to several suspects including Nix’s ex boy friend she’d dumped not long before she’d died.
I have been a long-time fan of Joshlyn Jackson’s novels and this one doesn’t disappoint. The writing flows beautifully with solid characters and a storyline with plenty of twists.
I would recommend any of Joshlyn Jackson’s books to anyone looking for a good mystery that will suck you in until the very end.
