I guess I spoke too soon...
Pop-up #showers and a possible #thunderstorm or two are forming west of the #TwinPorts in the #Northland.
They will be moving through the rest of the afternoon. Expect a brief shower, or maybe a brief #downpour in the strongest.
7:15 P.M. WEATHER UPDATE:
#Showers and a few weak #thunderstorms are beginning to move into the #Northland this evening. They will become widespread over the next several hours.
Dense #fog is also being reported in the #TwinPorts region and near #LakeSuperior. #Visibility will improve once the #rain arrives.
Been working at getting a visual of the #smoke from a prescribed #burn in northern Burnett County moving into the #TwinPorts region of the #Northland Monday afternoon.
How about the #radar picking up the smoke as it moved with the breeze from south to north?
SMOKE IN THE TWIN PORTS:
Why has the #TwinPorts gotten hazy early this evening?
You can thank a prescribed #burn in the #Grantsburg area of northern Burnett County, as well as the southerly #breeze pushing the smoke into the #Duluth/Superior area.
It will move out this evening.
The #TwinPorts region of the #Northland should watch out for a #thunderstorm with gusty #winds and small #hail over the next hour.
A #Severe Thunderstorm #Watch continues for all of northwest #Wisconsin and Pine County through 5 p.m. Strong winds and hail are the greatest threats.
DENSE FOG TO RETURN:
It's been a problem in the #TwinPorts throughout Tuesday, but most of the #Northland will see dense #fog overnight and Wednesday morning.
Remember to use your low beams and give yourself more space when driving around.
6:15 P.M. #RADAR UPDATE:
One #thunderstorms north of the #TwinPorts is the only chance the #Northland has in seeing any #weather conditions near strong or #severe #storm status this evening.
Small #hail and gusty #winds are likely from this, but odds are not the best at seeing it become severe.
7 P.M. #RADAR UPDATE:
A persistent few bands of #snow #showers continue to come across the #TwinPorts and northwest #Wisconsin.
Snow showers are also continuing for other locations further east into the #UpperPeninsula.
