What a strong opening for this season. The opening fight scene on the freighter was just incredible. Again, I love how this show depicts Matt's powers, with the aspect ratio changing to focus in on what he is listening to. Now I understand why they killed off Muse so early in season one, it was to set up this plotline with Heather. Her being haunted by visions of Muse, almost like a demon tormenting her very existence. Matthew Lilard immediately stole the scene as Mr. Charles. I'm just in shock by how much he was talking back to Fisk without repercussions. BB yet again being the smartest in the room by playing both sides. That fake Fisk broadcast was so Joker coded, and I loved it. What really blew me away about this episode was the parallel they were able to draw between Fisk's Taskforce and the ICE agents in America right now, going around without any warrants. The cliffhanger ending especially has me eager to see what happens next.
The Apple TV Foundation show is actually upsetting.
It's like they've skimmed the book, missed a bunch, understood none of it, and decided to make a show anyway, and so all of the genuinely cool aspects of the book are completely gone, and instead they're just adding more pointless superficial drama to inflate the runtime.
During this 3 days week-end, I was waiting for the first episode of the new season of #ForAllMankind.
But then I saw that a new season of #Invasion was also available, so I binge watched it.
I can’t really put in words what I feel, but despite an itch not to like this TV show, I was always hooked to it and I must admit that I really enjoy it.
* The pacing is really slow, yet I always want to watch the next episode to see what will happen.
* Some characters are irritating a lot of the time, yet I get invested in their stories.
* The theme song, is SO GOOD 🥰
