My #Turris Omnia still receives updates after 9 years!

#Turris NG betrayed me. It suddenly freezed and I disappear from the internet. And because I was traveling, I couldn't reboot it for 2 days. That's unpleasant.

The display isn't working, but who needs display on a router.
The wifi is kind of unstable, but OK. I can restart wifi from time to time and wait for better drivers.
SFP modules not working properly? Fine, I will use the lan ports for now and wait for drivers to be fixed.
But if it is going to freeze randomly, we are done. (I hope not, as I like the device and the effort of people behind it)

As a selfhoster I need at least the wire connection server↔️internet reliable. 😡

Sadly router was completely frozen. No communication was possible. And to preserve flash, it only keeps logs in RAM, so they are immediately lost on restart. Also there is nothing unusual in metrics. Thus I will never know what happened.

Maybe I could send logs out to Loki or something? To have better info next time... 🤔

A konečně hřeb dnešního podvečera: #turris Modrák

Dokonce si myslím, že jsem ho teď nedávno kvůli bráchovi upgradoval na nový turrisos s btrfs, ale vlastně nevím, jak to dopadlo, takže prostě #rozdavam tak jak je, radši někomu technickému, kdo si s tím případně poradí.

Pro dnešek #jarniuklid přerušuji, ať mě všichni nezabanujete za spam

I have an issue with port forwarding on my turris omnia router.

I added a port forwarding rule for Port 80 & 443 from wan to lan.

When NAT relfection is enabled, I get the webserver port forwarding is configured to when trying to access the web interface of the router. With NAT reflection disabled the oppsite happens: When acessing the external IP-Address I get the routers web interface. Both cases are from inside the lan, wan side works as expected.

Anyone an idea?
