Once the risk of severe weather diminishes, we plan to continue direct attack to gain more containment in the coming days. This area will continue to be monitored by aircraft and, if needed, aircraft will make water drops to cool down any hot spots that flare up.

Fire Weather & Behavior:
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecasted today. Persistent cloudy conditions are anticipated and will help moderate temperatures and relative humidities. Thunderstorms may bring wetting rains, but these rains will be spotty. These storms will also bring the potential for outflow winds which may affect a broader area than the rain itself. Any outflow winds bring the possibility of increased fire behavior. Critically dry fuel moisture continues across the region which support the potential for active fire behavior and rapid spread.
