Hey Texans, it’s flood season. It’s always flood season in June and July. Y’all should know that by now. Hey, as an aside, if the elevated highway is flooded, perhaps dropping spawn off to summer camp in the lowlands downstream isn’t a great idea.
Here’s the thing, we’ve been in drought for a real long time. It why we’ve lost 60% of our cattle, and the price of beef is so high. Our soil is mostly clay and limestone. Neither of which absorb water quickly. Both of which hold it for a while. That means when water falls from the sky, it turns into rivers wherever there’s low ground, and dries to terra cotta.
Water is stronger than you. And your car. Don’t cross running water on roadways. It will not end well.
